NATIONAL SPORTS DAY


On 20th August, 2022 the College celebrated “National Sports Day” on the eve of birth anniversary of Hockey Magician Major Dhyanchand who has mastered his special skills in the Hockey and was successful in winning the gold medal three times in the Olympics.

On this occasion Dr. Satish Hombali, Chief Medical Consultant of K. H. Patil Institute of Naturopathy, Yoga and Science, Hulakoti delivered a special lecture on “The Importance of Sports in Health and Fitness”. In his address he highlighted that we are the country with the largest youth population in the world and only if these youth are healthy and fit, they will become an asset to the country. If everyone regularly does at least 30 minutes a day of walking, yoga and meditation etc., the immunity will increase.  A nutritious, balanced diet has a great effect in this regard.

Dr. S. R. Patil, Principal in his presidential address said that, now a day’s students are wasting their valuable time in social media.  Instead of that he called the youths to engage themselves in sports activities which in turn help them to maintain good health. Shri S. T. Murashillin, Assistant Professor welcomed all and introduced the chief guest. Dr. Vijay V. Muradande, IQAC Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks. This program was co-ordinated by Dr. C. B. Ranagattimath, Physical Education Director.

The programme commenced with invocation song by Miss Bibihazra, 1st Year LL.B. student. All the students, teaching and non-teaching staff were present on this occasion.
