9TH INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
The NSS & Red Cross Units of the college has celebrated an “International Yoga Day” on 21st June, 2023. Miss Girija S. Muttinpendimath, Assistant Yoga Teacher of KLE Society’s CBSE School, Gadag was the resource person. She addressing the gathering yoga is spiritual process that unites the mind and body. Yoga is very beneficial for everyone to keep physical and mental health in good condition. She called the students by doing regular yoga every one can improve the health and increase the immunity and can find the solutions to some diseases.
Further, in her address she mentioned that today’s modern generation most of the people are facing stressful life, for them yoga is the only remedy to overcome from stress. Man can live comfortably only when there is no stress, hence, people should make a habit of doing yoga activities regularly. Many countries of the world are looking for yoga because yoga prevents all these stress and calms the mind. Yoga is a lifelong process that is incorporated into daily life to strengthen the body and mind.
Dr. S. R. Patil, President of the programme and Principal spoke in his presidential address that, a person can lead a good life only if he is healthy. For this, he called the students to do Yoga, Meditation and Pranayama daily. Learning yoga can develop vitality and help the people to maintain good life style.
The programme commenced with invocation song by Miss Vaishali Kulkarni, 3rd Year LL.B. student. Dr. C. B. Ranagattimath, Programme officer of NSS and Youth Red Cross Unit introduced the Chief Guest and welcomed the gathering. Dr. Vijay V. Muradande, IQAC Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks. Miss Sahana Karkal, 3rd Year LL.B. student & General Secretary of the college was the master of ceremony.
