Library  General Information

The Libraries always remind us that there are good things in this world.  The college has a well equipped library with latest books on laws, law reports and journal.  They are  made available for the use by the students, Staff and general public. The College has membership of N-List. It has more than 10,000 books, 1200 Back volumes and reference resources. It has subscribed to six Law Reports, seven law Journals, ten Magazine and five Daily Newspapers. It can accommodate more than eighty readers of at time in a specious reading room.

Circulation Procedures

  • A student may obtain one Borrower’s ticket (B.T.) from the librarian on deposit of Rs. 500/- In need of Additional B.T., an additional fee Rs.500/- each card, will charged (Maximum of two B.T. Cards).
  • If any student loses Borrowers ticket a fee of Rs.50 = 00 will be charged for the issue of duplicate card.
  • Only one book will be issued on production of a Borrower ticket.
  • Student shall place the books demand slips notifying the priority of books needed, in the library counter one-day before the date of issue.
  • Reference Books, Journals, Magazines, Reporters and Bound Volumes are only for reference in the library.

Rules for Issue and Return of Books

  • Users can Borrow Books for home reading only for 10 working days. After due date user should renew the Books in person.
  • In case of default, a fine of Rs.10/- for the 1st day & Rs.2/- per day for further continued days will be levied.
  • Identity card and Borrowers tickets are to be used as a token and should be produced at the time of borrowing books from the library. Borrowers should obtain their card or ticket back as soon as they return the books borrowed from the library.
  • Students who borrow books etc should not disfigure the books by writing their names or underlining in them or writing in the margins. Such defaulters will be severally dealt with.
  • Any previous damage done to the books such as disfiguring or tearing away of the pages or photographs should be checked before taking the book for reading and any such thing noted should be brought to the notice of the librarian.
  • Books for reference in the library will be issued on submission of identity card. Only one book will be issued on I.D. card. The identity card will be returned when the book taken for reference is returned.
  • No book shall be taken out of the library hall. If the reference book issued is not returned at the issue-counter before leaving the library, a fine of Rs.10=00 per volume per day shall be levied.
  • If any student loses his or her identity card, a fee of Rs. 100=00 will be charged for the issue of a duplicate identity card.
  • If a book is lost by the reader, he or she should replace it by paying 5 times the cost of the book as per the prevailing market rate.
  • News papers, Periodicals and Magazines will not be issued for home reading.
  • Dictionaries, Reference and Rare books are, for the reference in the library only.
