K.L.E. Society’s S. A. Manvi Law College, Gadag, in association with Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi had organized Intercollegiate Yoga Competition (Men & Women) for the Academic Year 2023-24
Inauguration Ceremony:-
K.L.E. Society’s S. A. Manvi Law College, Gadag in association with Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi organized Intercollegiate Yoga Competition (Men & Women) for the Academic Year 2023-24 on 22nd July, 2024. Nearly 80 students across the state consisting of 10 men and 11 women teams have participated in the competition. Prof. (Dr.) J. M. Mallikarjunaiah, Dean Faculty of Law, K.L.E. Tech. University, Principal, K.L.E. Society’s Law College Bengaluru and Director, K.L.E. Law Academy, Belagavi had inaugurated the programme and addressed the gathering that yoga is not only limited to the body but it unites the body and mind and everyone should take advantage of it.
Dr. S. M. Hombali, Nature Cure Yoga and Counseling Therapist, K. H. Patil Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Hulakoti was the chief guest. In his address he expressed the fact that yoga is recognized internationally today by many nations and it is becoming popular day by day and further he advised the youth to turn their attention towards yoga instead of becoming slaves to gyms and vices. He further appealed the youth to adopt yoga, pranayama and meditation in their routine to come out of modern stressful life.
Shri Jai Hanuman H.K. principal welcomed and introduced the guests. Miss Chaitra Gowdar, 2nd year LL.B. student sang invocation song. Dr. Srinivas C. Palakonda, assistant professor proposed the vote of thanks and Mr. Channabasappa M, 3rd Year LL.B. student was the master of ceremony.
Closing Ceremony:-
Shri M. M. Naragund, retired principal of J.T. P.U. College, Gadag was the guest for the valedictory function. He spoke in his speech that, if you become master in yoga you can manage mental illnesses like anxiety and stress. Further he emphasized that everyone to follow yoga as concentration is important to achieve anything in life. Shri Jaihanuman H. K. Principal was the president of the function. He spoke in his presidential remarks that, yoga has been practiced since ancient times and we Indians should give more importance to yoga and yoga is a way to understand your inner self and lead a happy life. Dr. Jyothi C. V. assistant professor introduced the guests. Dr. Vijay V. Muradande, Assistant Professor & IQAC Co-ordinator distributed the prizes and Dr. C. B. Ranagattimath, Physical Education Director proposed the vote of thanks.
