NATIONAL VOTERS’ DAY
On 24th January, 2025 KLE Society’s S. A. Manvi Law College, Gadag, in association with Electoral Literacy Club and NSS Unit of the College celebrated “National Voters’ Day”. Shri Jaihanuman H. K. Principal in his address stated that, every year on January 25, India marks National Voters’ Day, a significant occasion to encourage active participation in the democratic process. This day holds immense importance, reminding citizens of their fundamental right to vote and its crucial role in shaping the nation’s future. The theme for National Voters’ Day 2025 is “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure” emphasizing the power of every vote in strengthening the nation’s democratic fabric. He said that, main purpose of the National Voters’ Day celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximize enrolment, especially for the new voters. He encouraged the students to spread awareness among voters and promote participation in the electoral process.
The pledge for National Voters’ Day is taken by the faculties, staff and students. Dr. Srinivas C. Palakonda Asst. Prof. gave key note address. Dr. C. B. Ranagattimath, NSS Programme Officer administered Voters’ Pledge. Shri. Sharatkumar J. Darabare, Asst. Prof. and Co-ordinator of Electoral Literacy Club proposed vote of thanks.
